P.S: If the master apcupsd is installed in the server which is connected to UPS. Other server can role as slave apcupsd without connect cable to UPS via network.

Example:

192.168.1.2 is the master apcupsd server
192.168.1.10 is slave apcupsd server

Step 1

Install apcupsd program only in slave server, refer to our installation guide
P.S: you only install apcupsd program an No necessary to install apcupsd-multimon in slave server.

Step 2

After installation, In slave apcupsd server 192.168.1.10:

[root@~]# vi /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf

UPSTYPE net
DEVICE 192.168.1.2:3551

[root@~]# /etc/init.d/apcupsd start
[root@~]# chkconfig apcupsd on

In master apcupsd server 192.168.1.2:

[root@~]# vi /etc/apcupsd/host.conf

MONITOR 192.168.1.2 "Server1"
MONITOR 192.168.1.10 "Server2"
