[root@localhost ~]# /etc/init.d/hylafax start
[root@localhost ~]# /etc/init.d/hylafax stop
[root@localhost ~]# /etc/init.d/hylafax status

Stop / Start / show service status of hylafax

[root@localhost ~]# faxstat

Show the general status of modem or hylafax.

[root@localhost ~]# faxstat -v

Trace the protocol exchanges between faxstat and the hfaxd processes on the standard output.

[root@localhost ~]# faxstat -r

Display the receive queue status for each server.

[root@localhost ~]# faxstat -s

Display the status of jobs in the send queue on the server

[root@localhost ~]# faxstat -d

Display the status of jobs in the send queue on the server machine.

[root@localhost ~]# faxrm id

Remove a HylaFAX job or document from a server

[root@localhost ~]# faxadduser -p password username
[root@localhost ~]# faxdeluser username

Add/Del HylaFAX user account

[root@localhost ~]# less /var/spool/hylafax/etc/hosts.hfaxd

The record of the client's host which is connected to fax server

[root@localhost ~]# less /var/spool/hylafax/etc/xferfaxlog

Check hylafax detial log.

[root@localhost ~]# less /var/spool/hylafax/log/000021028

Check individual log for each fax processing.

recvstats /var/spool/hylafax/etc/xferfaxlog
xferfaxstats /var/spool/hylafax/etc/xferfaxlog

To make the receive and send statistics report.

[root@localhost ~]# sendfax -n -d phoneNumber filename

Send Fax command, file type should be txt,pdf,ps,tiff
(If the file is chinese context, use 'bg5ps')

[root@localhost ~]# bg5ps -if bg5ps.txt -of bg5ps.ps

Convert the file Big5 TTF context to postscript ps file

[root@localhost ~]# cd /var/spool/hylafax/bin/
./pdf2fax
./ps2fax
./tiff2fax
./tiff2pdf

Conversion between different type
pdf -> tiff class F
ps -> tiff class F
tiff -> tiff class F
tiff -> pdf
