SMTP Authentication testing

Test the mail server is enabled with SMTP Auth. or not :

Step 1

telnet serverip 25
ehlo

250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN

Observe in ehlo testing, it show 250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN or not.



Step 2

dXNlcm5hbWU=
echo -n "password" |openssl base64
cGFzc3dvcmQ=

telnet serverip 25
AUTH LOGIN
334 VXNlcm5hbWU6
dXNlcm5hbWU=
334 UGFzc3dvcmQ6
cGFzc3dvcmQ=
235 2.0.0 OK Authenticated

Test the mail account login with SMTP Auth.
