[root@alanstudio]# date '+%y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S'

Show the date manually, like as: 07-12-04 02:01:16

[root@alanstudio]# date -s 11/13/2009
[root@alanstudio]# date -s 12:45:00

Set date and time using -s

[root@alanstudio]# date -s 200507150255.47

Set date and time in server (yyyymmddhhmm.ss)

[root@alanstudio]# /usr/sbin/ntpdate stdtime.gov.hk

Net sync time

[root@alanstudio]# /sbin/hwclock --systohc

Sync to BIOS clock

[root@alanstudio]# ntpdate -q

Check net sync time statu

[root@alanstudio]# clock -r

Check BIOS CMOS time

[root@alanstudio]# clock -w

Write system time to BIOS CMOS time 
echo "$(($(date -d "00:00:10" '+%s') - $(date -d "00:00:00" '+%s')))"
10
Find the different of time , such as 00:00:10 and 00:00:00 , it calc 10 sec.
